BARSKA’s Designator riflescope features an integrated 5mw red laser
sight built-in to the objective lens for double the targeting power. Utilizing
compact, high impact rated laser diode technology we are able to integrate a
2.5-10x42mm riflescope with a 5mw red laser. The 5mw red laser is mounted
vertically to the top inside of the riflescopes objective lens with windage and
elevation adjustments accessible externally above the objective lens. The
integration of riflescope with a laser sight allows for three different target
acquisition methods: the first method of targeting is quick acquisition by
designating your target with the red laser, the second method is to use the
riflescopes reticle to zero in on the target and the third method is to use a
combination of the riflescope reticle with the laser. The riflescope features
the new “Designator reticle”. The riflescope features a 30mm main tube for
maximum light gathering and a wide magnification range of 2.5x - 10x. The
designator scope will keep you on target in more than one way and it is backed
by BARSKA’s One Year Warranty. Designed with a 5mw red laser is mounted
vertically to the top inside of the riflescopes objective lens with windage and
elevation adjustments accessible externally above the objective
lens.

Pros:
Integration of a laser sight within the existing scope body is rather ingenious. In looking through the scope, the laser isn't visible. a clear sight picture is obtained. In taking long distance shots, lasers can be useful, while a scope will always be a benefit. In order to have the option of laser sighting system, purchase, mounting, and sighting in that system. Barska has solved problems encountered when incorporating a laser sight on a scoped rifle.
Cons:
If a flash hider were utilized on the objective, the laser would be compromised entirely. The scope is not sold with mounting rings. While 30mm rings are certainly available, they are harder to find in retail stores. So, rings would have been nice.

I'll amend with more thoughts after I've had more time to use it. Please contact me with any questions. jjstewart@stewartandstewartlaw.com

5 of 5 - Excellent
Pros:
I bought it as my very first scope for my AR-15 and it hold zero even after more then 600 shots of 5.56NATO fired with it.
I love the 6-step illuminated reticle and the laser in it. Easy to sight in. And once sighted in it just plain holds it. AWESOME scope for the price. Get it before Barska notices that they should double the price(which still would be a good price)
Cons:
No cons on the scope.
Comments:
Comes without the rings which took me another week to get. Not a real con...but well. Fixed lens caps would be nice instead of the rubber band ones which come with the scope.
