They feature a large objective lens usually 40mm or higher which provides 18%-20% more light in dusk and dawn situations. While most hunting scopes have ¼" windage and elevation stops there are few which incorporate 1/8" M.O.A for twice the precision for the most demanding hunter! A good hunting scope can also give you more hunting time early and late in the day. As most hunters know these are the two prime times for big game to be moving to and from their bedding areas. With just iron sights often there is not enough ambient light available to make an ethical shot.
