Naturescape ED spotter is taking spotting scope optics to a higher level. Phase coated BAK4 prisms and fully multi-coated premium ED (Extra Low Dispersion) glass provide you with views of exceptional clarity and resolution. Phase coating results in maximum resolution and optical quality by correcting or "phase shifting" the light that is reflected off the prisms and optimizing it for the scope's aperture size. | Pros: | I am a novice who did lots of research before my purchase. ED glass was always going to be beyond my budget until this special offer! The images are crisp and clear thanks to that ED glass, BAK 4 Prism and Phase and Multi Coatings. I use this at my home with ocean and beach views and am impressed with it's performance. Ships sitting at anchor present a target with many straight lines at considerable distances. No chromatic aberation is evident. Corners and edges of Hulls and Turretts present without any colour fringing, even at 60X. The Zoom is a little stiff at first but is getting smoother with time. The Focus is not sloppy and easy to use. The threaded main lens cap may allow a moon filter to be screwed onto the scope, but this is just speculation without any research into this. The Eyepiece has a twist up cup for adjusting eye relief and holds it's position well after adjustment. I have no hesitation in recommending this as a great Spotter. |
